What to Do if You’re Not Sure How Getting Pregnant is Going to Happen

A client recently expressed that her biggest challenge moving forward was figuring out how everything was going to come together so she could get pregnant.  Finances and being single are her specific concerns.

Often the logistics of getting pregnant can be elusive.  In almost all situations, financial constraints may make it seem out of reach.  Or lack of time because you’re working so much.  Or, like her, you don’t have a partner and you’re pursuing single motherhood.  Or you don’t know what’s preventing you from getting pregnant so it seems like finding a solution is impossible.

If you’re having trouble seeing how all the pieces fit into place so that you can get pregnant, my response is to not worry about the nitty-gritty details. You’re thinking too far ahead.

Get the fundamentals in place first.  I’m sure if you look at your life as it is now, there is at least one area that can be improved.

The basics are the right nutrition, supplements that address your specific needs, rejuvenating sleep, healing self-care practices, moving your body, and detoxifying your environment.

In essence, give your mind and body what they need to thrive so they can do what they’re programmed to i.e. having a healthy baby.

Women have a tendency to forecast too far in the future – preparing for different possible scenarios.  It’s natural because, as women, we’re wired to want to feel safe and doing this makes you feel more comfortable.

However, the downside is that you lose sight of what’s in front of you right now.  Rather, stay focused on the present and what can be done today to make this journey an expansive and satisfying experience. In doing so, you’re automatically paving the way for more happiness to flow into your life.

If you look back at your life, you’ll probably remember when the times were good, they were really good.

When times were bad, they really sucked.

You have a choice as to where you want the needle to point to.

If you continue to spin about the next step and the step after that and the step after that, you’re focused more on the problem rather than the solution. The problem of “I can’t get pregnant.” is very different energetically from the solution of “Life is always working out for me.  I am eager for more.”

Very simply, the solution is a life you love and take pleasure in, baby or not. When you’re in that abundant space, thoughts about the next step pop in your head or you feel the urge to make love and the timing turns out to be perfect or you feel ready for the next IVF cycle or people will come into your life who can help you..ahem :).

This inability to move out of uncertainty can translate into doing IVF when a person is not ready (so it fails) or calling it quits on the entire fertility journey prematurely.

Every decision you make must be deliberate and FEEL like the right thing to do at that time – NOT a knee-jerk reaction from fear. Slow down until you’re sure that’s what you want to do.

Fortunately, there are many easy and simple ways you can improve your fertility with minor adjustments to your lifestyle.  Work with me to find out what you can do to boost your chance of success in just 90 days here.
