Ding-dong ditched for dinner

I got stood up Monday night.

A dinner date that was confirmed Saturday but never happened cuz the guy didn’t follow up with a place and time.

And, no – I haven’t heard from him.

This is exactly why I have such strong filters in place to weed out guys like this quickly.

My time is precious.  I won’t waste it on people who don’t deserve my time.

Because it’s the most valuable intangible resource I have.  More money can be made.  Health can be improved.  Things replaced.

But time…

We all have an hourglass with sand slowly trickling down.

You know this better than most people because your biological hourglass is rapidly shrinking.

In your case, you need to optimize your time as it pertains to your fertility.  You do this by also having your own filters and boundaries firmly in place.  This means prioritizing your health (physical, emotional, and spiritual) so that you don’t get distracted by things that really aren’t important or benefit you.

Simple stuff like:

  • turn off your devices so you get 8-9 hours of regenerative sleep
  • sitting outside in the sun enjoying a pre-packed, nutrient-dense lunch instead of working through your lunch hour
  • going for a walk with your partner after dinner to discuss the day or reconnect on a deeper level instead of plopping down in front of the tv

These are all things that help your fertility.  Yet, they’re often passed over because it’s inconvenient.  Well, the inconvenient truth is that if you don’t take care of yourself, your eggs aren’t gonna magically take care of themselves.

I’m sure you want to be a mother more than you want to have watched your favorite TV series.  So prove it with your actions.

If you’re gonna watch something though, you can join me for my next FB Live on Thursday Oct 25 at 10am PST on FB page (@juliechangfertility).  If you have a male partner, I’m going to talk about the single most important test that he needs to get done – the semen analysis.   If he had one done in the past year, have it handy during the training.  No worries if you can’t make it live – it’ll be recorded.

In the meantime, you can watch the recording on how to use IVF more successfully even if you’re in your 40s or diagnosed with premature ovarian failure, check it out on my FB page (@juliechangfertility).  It’ll only be available for another few days.

All my best,
Julie Chang, L.Ac.
