What to do with IVF in your 40s
Remember in the good ol’ days when you could pound drink after drink and still get up for your early morning classes?
You might not have been bright-eyed and bushy tailed but you were functional with your hangover.
What would happen now that you’re in your late 30s or 40s and did the same thing?
It would take you days to recover.
Your body no longer has the resiliency to bounce back.
With age, you can’t drink as much. Pounds miraculously appear. Those stairs look more daunting so you walk up the handicapped ramp. Freckles become age spots. Laugh lines are now wrinkles.
This is why women in their 40s have very little success with IVFs (3.% success for >42yo) compared to their younger counterparts (48% success for <35yo). Your ovaries start ignoring the fertility medications that otherwise work so well with women in their 20s and early 30s. But there might be an IVF option for you to consider. I'll explain more on my FB Live webinar this Mon Oct 15 at 9am PST, lasting about 15 minutes. "Like" and "follow" my FB page (@juliechangfertility) to get notified. All my best, Julie Chang, L.Ac.
