Do you have PCOS?
Do you have PCOS?
PCOS is one of the most common causes of female infertility, affecting 6% – 12% (as many as 5 million) US women of reproductive age, according to the CDC.
It’s believed that a condition called estrogen dominance contributes to PCOS. Lack of ovulation results in continuous high levels of estrogen and insufficient progesterone.
Unchecked by progesterone, constant estrogen exposure may cause the uterine lining to become too thick, which can lead to heavy and/or irregular bleeding.
However, the biggest issue with PCOS when you’re trying to get pregnant is that ovulation is unpredictable, if it happens at all.
Doctors don’t really understand PCOS so it’s up to you to educate yourself and become empowered.
In my clinical experience, PCOS is merely a symptom, not the root cause of fertility issues. The root cause being lifestyle choices that decrease your fertility, unknown to you.
So here I am, riding in on my white horse, chain mail gleaming in the sunlight, coming to your rescue with information about one important contributor to PCOS.
That is, estrogen dominance.
